Francisco J. Dias Unipersonal Lda.:
In the heart of Paços de Ferreira, a Portuguese town, we can find a dynamic and innovative enterprise, which main goal is to satisfy its customers.
It was created 40 years ago, initially called “Francisco Ferreira Dias”, the name of its founder and former owner. At first, he worked alone, in his own house, but some years later he built a small space, about 80 square meters, and hired ten employees.
After finishing high school, his son, Francisco Dias, took over the company and, nowadays, he is the official owner. Within six years, with all his effort and dedication, he could buy a 1300 square meters area and hire a total of twenty employees. His products have always been in great demand, thanks to his adaptability to the demanding furniture market. As the company started to have a tremendous success, whether nationally and internationally, the owner decided to expand the work area to a 2300 square meters space, with thirty workers.
Nonetheless, as the business grew, in order to keep up with the rapid growth of the market, the owner has always invested on high and advanced technology, becoming a competitive price/quality ratio enterprise.
Unfortunately, on November 12th, 2016, a fire has totally destroyed the company, reducing a lifetime of work and effort  to ashes. However, the owner never gave up on the family business which has taken long years of effort and hard work to be built. In the next day, he gathered some of his workers, to guarantee all their jobs, and improvised a space where he could continue working, so that he wouldn’t fail his Christmas orders. Only two days after, he was able to ensure the job of all his employees and build a new space, in an industrial area, with 4000 square meters and fifty employees.
Nowadays, the enterprise supplies other professional enterprises in the furniture area, with huge recognition in Portugal, and continues to adapt to the competitive international market.
The company has several futuristic ideas, and it is especially concerned with the services provision and the creation of high-quality products, always trying to adapt its work to its customers.
